Objective
The two years Distance Learning Master of Arts (M.A) Degree in South Asian Studies conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of SAARC studies, Indo-Pak relations, Kashmir issue, social, political, cultural, scientific and economic relations among India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives.

Award
Master of Arts (M.A) Degree in South Asian Studies shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland. They will also be eligible for admission in the M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree programmes in the relevant Schools and Faculties at The Global Open University, Nagaland.

Master's Thesis
All admitted students are required to submit a Master's Thesis at the end of 2nd year preferably based on the data collected by them from Central / State level Undertakings / Private Sector Units.
Assignments
All admitted participants must submit subjectwise assignments based on the Mini project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects to be studied in the first/second year. |
