ENROLLMENT NUMBER
Enrolment Number will be assigned to
every candidate on admission. The enrolment number
will remain same for the total duration of course.
Students should invariably quote their enrolment
number in all their correspondence with the TGOU,
to facilitate prompt response from the University.
Letters/e-mail received without the enrolment
number will not be entertained.
IDENTITY CARD
Every student will be issued an identity
card which should be carried by them at all times
while being at the e-Learning Point and produce
it when requested. The identity card issued to
a student is e-Learning Point specific. Students
have the privilege to utilize the facilities provided
to them in the particular e-Learning Point they
have got the admission, and will not be valid
in any other e- Learning Point.
In case of loss of Identity Card, a duplicate
shall be issued at a specified cost, subject to
a written request from the student, duly signed
by e-Learning Point authorities. The Identity
Card is valid only for the duration of programme
the student has sought the admission for. Students
are advised to keep the ID card carefully, as
it provides proof of their bonafide student status.
PAYMENT OF FEE
It is the responsibility of the students
to pay their fees within the deadline as communicated
by the University through website www.tgouonline.com.
The fee has to be paid before the start of the
year as per the deadlines. The e-Learning Point
shall not make any individual correspondence for
fee submission. In case the student doesn't pay
the fee within the deadline late fee will be charged
as per decision of the University. In case the
student doesn't pay the fee during the above mentioned
period, the student will be deemed to have dropped
the course & will not be allowed to continue
the programme. The fee is non-refundable and cannot
be adjusted for subsequent years.
Students must check the University website www.tgouonline.com
for important instructions & deadlines.
The mode of payment shall be ONLY Demand Draft
in favour of “The Global Open University,
Nagaland”, payable at Dimapur. TGOU &
Apex Foundation will not be liable for fee paid
in cash to the e-Learning Point.
OTHER UNIVERSITY FEES
Other University fees such as statement
of marks Rs 150/-, provisional certificate Rs.
500/-, degree certificate Rs. 750/-, consolidated
mark sheet Rs. 500/-, change of name Rs. 250/,
change of centre Rs. 1000/-, any duplicate certificate
Rs. 1000/-, rank certificate Rs. 250/-, late submission
of dissertation/ project per month Rs. 600/-,
Duplicate Identity Card Rs. 250/-. Examination
Fee Rs. 250/- per Subject, Lateral Entry Fees
is Rs. 2000/- per year and Entrance Test Fee for
Open University System (OUS) Programs is Rs. 1500/-
LIBRARY
Online Campus provides Virtual Library
with links to articles, publications, informative
sites, news items and reviews. Every e Learning
Point has its own Library. Only valid Library
cardholders will be eligible to use the library
facility. The student can get issued one book/magazine
at a time for one week. If the book/magazine is
overdue, a fine of Rs. 10/- per day will be charged.
In case of loss or damage to the book, student
will have to bear the expense of the book or replace
the same. In case of loss of library card, duplicate
card (on cost) will be issued on the submission
of a written request to the e- Learning Point
authorities. Library card will be valid only for
the regular duration of the programme. Library
card will be valid for only the e-Learning Point
in which the student has got admission.
CENTRE TRANSFER POLICY
e-Learning Point transfer will be allowed
only to other cities in case of situations, like
transfer of job, medical grounds etc. and that
too will be with the approval of existing e- Learning
Point, Online Campus & the University. The
student is not permitted to take transfer to any
other University/College or other TGOU affiliated
institutions. Transfer from one e-Learning Point
to another for foreign nationals is not permitted.
Centre Transfer will be allowed only if the course
is being conducted at the destination e-Learning
Point. The studen will agree to the batch timings
as suggested by the destination e-Learning Point.
If the student takes transfer to any other e-Learning
Point without the approval of University, his/her
admission will be cancelled & the fee will
stand forfeited. Centre Transfer within the same
city or within the radius of 10 Kms is not allowed
under normal circumstances. Mid session transfer
is not permitted. In case of Centre Transfer the
student has to fill a Centre Migration Form and
obtain a No-objection Certificate from the existing
e- Learning Point & destination e-Learning
Point.
EVALUATION AND GRADING
Evaluations are conceived, developed
and administered on a rigorous and fair basis
to bring out the best in students and prepare
them for challenging careers. A student's performance
is based on:
Continuous evaluation carrying 30% weightage on
the final score. Continuous evaluation is done
through online assignments and practicals.
University examinations conducted at the examination
Centres and evaluated by the University, carrying
70% weightage on the final score.
In each subject, a student should secure at least
consolidated 50% marks in continuous evaluation
and University examinations to be declared pass.
Based on the student's performance, the following
grading system will be adopted:
A = Excellent (+80%)
B = Very Good (+70%)
C = Good (+60%)
D = Satisfactory (+50%)
E = Failure
If a student fails to clear any of the papers,
he/she has to reappear for the relevant paper
by applying to the University through the examination
form along with relevant fees, within the due
date specified by the University.
